In the remodeling business for over 50 years, Family Home Improvement Corp takes great pride in making sure that your remodeling project goes according to plan and that it is properly supervised by our fully professionally trained staff.


Our field supervisors are dedicated to one goal: making sure that this is a happy time for you and your family. The scheduling of your project, the selection of materials and the quality of workmanship are all done with great care and concern. We will provide both plans and building permits.

Family Home Improvement is a family-owned business established in 1970. Our newly renovated showroom is located at 434 Elmont Road in Elmont, NY  11003. Family Home Improvement is licensed by Nassau County, Suffolk County, and New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.

These licenses are aimed at protecting the homeowner against fraudulent vendors who are out there to harm the public. Family Home Improvement is listed in Qualified Remodeler magazine as number 100 in their Top 500 Remodelers Nationwide. Remodeling Magazine has listed us in their annual top 1,000 contractors list.

Family Home Improvement has been chosen as the winner of the Greater New York Contractor’s Council Award for outstanding workmanship and commitment.

Family Home Improvement carries a full line of insurance programs for our employees, including workers' compensation and workers' disability. Our homeowners insurance package includes a $2 million dollar policy for public liability (not required for contractors), completed operations insurance, full fire, theft, and breakage insurance.

Jan Arden has been president of Family Home Improvement Corp for over 43 years. Licensed and certified in the home improvement industry. Graduate of Hofstra University with a BA in marketing and management. Lectured on many topics in the home improvement industry. Sold and ran over 40,000 remodeling projects in Nassau County and NYC.
